500 billion to a trillion plastic bags are consumed world wide each year. Is it any wonder that they are causing an enviornmental impact?
Reusable is the only way to go from now on. Even a small bag that you can tuck into your purse will help to make a world of difference. It’s not so difficult to remember to bring bags when you go grocery shopping, but those little stops at the drug store or a quick run into a store for some pens and paper usually result in the use of plastic bags. How much better to have a reusable bag on hand, just whip it out and do your part to save our wonderful world. This handy reusable bag is available at www.zazzle.com/whitewaves1*/ just type totes into the search bar on the site , you will probably find one that you like to get you started on this new and exciting venture of saving the enviornment.
Plastic bags are made from ethylene, a petroleum by product. In the US alone an estimated 12 million barrels of oil is used annually to make plastic bags for Americans. Is this really what we want? You can turn the tide by using products that are reusable. www.reusablebags.com is a wonderful site that has more than just bags and is well worth a visit.
Use a bumper sticker to remind everyone around you to recycle.
This bumper sticker is also from my site www.zazzle.com/whitewaves1*/
Isn’t it amazing that other countries like Australia, South Africa, China, Italy, Bangladesh and Taiwan have banned plastic bags and here in America we continue to use them, it’s pretty sad if you ask me.
I think it’s about time we picked up the torch and ran with it.
Reduce, reuse, recycle & start by Bringing your own Bag.
